Information we process

Account information such as email address, verification status and private date of birth.
Username, display name, biography, profile photo, interface language and reading languages.
Works, chapters, drafts, descriptions, categories, covers, content ratings, warnings and publication metadata.
Private Library saves, ratings and limited meaningful-read activity.
Limited safety-report metadata such as the category, reported target and an optional short note.
Copyright reports, appeals and related moderation records.

How we use information

We use information to verify accounts, enforce age rules, operate features, store and publish content, provide Discover, Search and Library, produce aggregate meaningful-read analytics, evaluate content-safety reports, prevent abuse, administer copyright processes and protect the service.

Public and private information

Your username, display name, biography, profile photo and published works may be displayed in the app and on the public NoctMuse website. Your email, date of birth, draft works and chapters, and Library membership are not shown in public profiles or catalogs.

Web reader font, theme and line-spacing preferences are stored only in your browser. For signed-in readers, the current chapter and UTF-16 reading position are securely associated with the account to support continuation across devices.

Age eligibility

NoctMuse is available to users aged 16 and over. Certain mature content is restricted to users aged 18 and over. Date of birth is used to apply these rules and is not public.

Service providers and subscriptions

NoctMuse uses Supabase for backend and authentication, Resend for email delivery, and Apple for Writer Pro purchases and subscription management. Apple transactions are subject to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

Normal account data and user content are retained while needed to provide the service and removed through account deletion. Limited records may be retained where necessary for security, content moderation, legal compliance, copyright disputes or legal claims. Account deletion is available from the Account page on the web or in the app.
